My 2003 x5d sport is going into trans failsafe mode quite regularly now. There is a sudden clunk and jolt when you try to put your foot down on the accelerator as if it is missing a gear or won't drop down a gear. Can anyone help or suggest a reliable specialist in the Uttoxeter area to take it to. Cheers, Dave.

Can anyone help, I've got the same message and symptoms. Does anyone know any reliable specialists local to burton on Trent or uttoxeter area. Or has anyone else came across another solution?

It's just the headlights that go out sometimes one then the other, sometimes both at the same time. Bulbs are ok and so are fuses. Will get the rest checked out. Thanks for the advice Greydog.

Whilst driving my lights decide to turn off. It doesn't matter if it is on automatic or manual position. Can someone help as I work nights so drive in the dark all the time
