I checked the handbook and the oil I have; the viscosity & spec is allowed so at least it's not redundant.

New boy question. When I switch on the ignition I see the tyre monitor light up and extinguish. When I go into the BCS I've only got three option date/time/car check. Is this right or should I re-read the manual?

I've got 6L of 5w40 Shell Helix Ultra (which says for petrol & diesel). Can I use it in my 318d 2010MY?. Steve.

Well I took the plunge yesterday and purchased a E91 318d Touring in black, 1 owner with FSH, 2010 LCI model. I came from a long line of VW's trading in my mk5 GTI with 117k and things started to go wrong and the rusty wing issue was showing its hand. I was spending £46 p/w on fuel so was thinking of changing anyway plus we now have a Fox red Labrador puppy which is only going to get bigger. I Got a good trade in value so said yes. Couldn't believe the mpg figure on the test drive and the family all approved.
