  1. Many thanks again - so helpful. After my other reply to you I did think about the repair kit, I have had cars in the past with them in as standard. So all food for thought.
  2. Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately if I don't stay with run flats I will have to also invest in a spare wheel and jack as I do not have these at the present.
  3. Please excuse my ignorance on this. I am thinking of replacing my wheels as they are little rough (like it when I bought the car), what I would like to know is, as my tyres are run flats do I need special wheels for run flat tyres ?. Thanks
  4. I bought my 2010 cabriolet last September. Since buying it the "auto stop /start" has not worked, this has not bothered me, just the bong I get when starting the car. I have checked the hand book and the error code I get on startup confirms this problem. The other day I rang my local BMW dealership and booked the car in to have the problem sorted, at the end of the booking process I was told by the lady doing the booking in that I will not have to pay for this repair ?. I did not buy the car from them so I was astonished at this statement , however not going to dispute it.

Thanks for your reply. Took the car back for a retest on the emissions yesterday and it passed okay, but according to the technician only just.

320i 2010 Cabriolet. Shock and horror, I took my car in for it's MOT Wednesday morning and it failed on emissions. It was suggest that it had an additive put in the fuel tank and then give the car a good run. So I put a container of Wynns pre MOT additive in and then gave the car a 20 mile run on the motorway, hopefully;y when it is retested tomorrow morning it will now pass okay. Everything now crossed.
  8. Thanks for your reply. The problem seems to have sorted itself out, I have just tried retracting the roof again and I can now also close the windows with the roof retracted. So I don't know what has happened this time but all seems well.
  9. Anyone ??
  10. Hi new member here. Now on my 5th BMW but this time the 2010 3 series cabriolet. Not sure if I have a problem with the car. When I retract the hard top the first thing that happens is all the side windows go down, when the hard top has fully retracted i cannot get the windows to rise up when lifting the large button on the door rest. My better half says that it is to windy with the windows down so is there a way to raise the side windows. I do have the wind deflector fitted to rear of the front seats.
