  1. this has turned into to a war haha cheers for the comments guys im gonna go test drive the 3.0 petrol and take it from there. i know people are saying get a 5 series a few of my firends have aswell but i have always loved the x5
  2. thanks for the comments guys a think its gonna be 1 of those topics where your for diesels or petrols cheers dbx your right about dont matter wh you al say but its good to hear peoples opinions on them was hoping some1 with a 3.0 would pop up and say what mpg they get as ive drove the 3.0d. but as said the diesels are going for silly money atm as you can pick up petrol for a lot less. and thats what im trying to figure out is it gonna save me or end up costing the same if i were to spend that bit more and get the diesel. thanks
  3. hi guys looking into getting an x5 around 2002 / 2004 model but the thing is i am hearing all diffrent views on both for fuel econimy its would be the 3.0 petrol and 3.0D the thing that is catch 22 with me is the diesels seem to be alot dearer than petrol with more miles. and is it worth buying the petrol and using the money saved on fuel i dont do alot of miles. any input and peoples opinoin would be greatfull. thanks

  12. hi this is for my friend he has not long passed his test and bought himself a lovely bmw 116 05 plate. the adivce hes after is the water level ran low while he was on a back road he said a few warning lights came on but dosn't know what ones as hes a bit clueless anyway he said he stoped and went to check water level but when he opened it, it spat everywhere, he filled it up with water but then said when he went to start it up it took a while but got it going and ran home fine. the engine management light has stayed on the reason for the post would this be due to holding a fault? and need to be fully checked out ect any help would be greatful. ps. he said when he was driving and the warning lights came on "hight temp" came up on the cd player disply?? hope yous dont mind me reposting this as the 1series chat seem empty thanks.
