  2. Hi All, I am hoping for some advice please. I have a 2008 120d SE. The convertible roof fabric has a wear mark on the passengers side by the rear window. I took it to my nearest BMW dealer who diagnosed the problem as incorrect weft of the fabric (the lines of the fabric are incorrect), so the fabric is folding incorrectly and getting pinched in the mechanism and will eventually cause a hole to form. Although its a manufactures fault BMW UK are only offering to pay for 50% of the costs put a new roof on which is £1250. I think its fair that they should pay for all the costs as its a manufacturers fault and would not have shown in the lifetime of the guarantee as its wear caused by incorrect fabric stich. Has anyone else heard of this problem before? I need to gather as much evidence as possible. Thanks in advance, Laura
