Thanks for you info, yes I think you could be right. I have seen 520, 525 etc in this condition going for good money, shame the 518i is so less desirable. I reckon at a push I could get it for 4k but I was also hoping to maybe making a few quid on it. Think I'll give this one a miss 😊

I've done some research just can't find any E28 318i models in this condition to compare. I know the 1 owner, dolphin grey and good spec, but I guess the 1.8 engine lets it down 😢

Hi everyone, I have the opportunity to buy a BMW 518i (E28) C reg 1 owner from new with only 58000 miles on the clock in dolphin grey. Thr car is in as new condition, garaged all its life. The owner still has the original German number plates which were issued when he collected it from a BMW show room in Germany. The car has a good specification with sunroof and veryous other bits and as I say mint condition!! Does anyone know what it might be worth?? Does around £4,995 sound unreasonable?? Also are the 318i less desirable than the bigger engines?? Many thanks Lee
