    Hi, thanks. thats a fair point but i am an original freak. dont really want to alter or modify in any way.

    however if i want to get modern i suppose i will have to consider it. thanks for the post

    I know what you mean Jon. I prefer the OE look too. May be worth finding the model of the original sat nav and talking to BMW about when the most recent update was released?

    I would imagine the sat nav for your car would be quite outdated now. May be better looking at an aftermarket replacement? This could give you sat nav and bluetooth for the phone?
