  1. being a dorset chap myself, i can say the roads are dreadful. Especially in Bournemouth!!! Got a 4x4 to handle it with and will install big spotlights so i can see in the very poorly lit roads. Is it me, or these new LED street lights along with high intensity car lights just really hard to drive at night? Steve, maybe look at winter wheels! then they can get mucky, bashed and keep the summer ones for cruising. :)
  2. Welcome Trevor Try and check Check fuse F46 / F48 (glovebox) and F60 (rear right) first. Then Inspect for any signs of spilled liquid around the buttons. Also disconnect battery for 5–10 minutes to hard-reset modules. If nothing then can with diagnostic tool, look for “Switch Cluster” or “Center Console Electronics” faults. If still no lights or function, likely module failure or connector dislodged. Hope this helps
  3. motorway for 30 mins, 3rd gear... get the revs up and sit there with the revs up higher 3k or so. This will regen and blow out all crud. When driving as normal, get the revs up, use up the gears before changing, dont change gears too early. Not only good for the DPF but good for your flywheel if its a manual. Diesels need to be driven hard sometimes.

  7. hi mate looks a bit more than a sponge has done that. is it on both sides??
  8. its good you re asking and not rushing in to it. a lot of people vision a new car on the drive. If you are thinking of getting a new car then paying the balloon off and selling the car privately will save you money, you can repay the money used to pay off the baloon so you can then buy a new car with a bigger deposit and pay the new insurance etc. Also, don't buy new, 2021 /2022 means you may only pay the 620 for around one year then comes down to 195 after that.. every time i have bought new i have lost 10-20k, so just buy a nice used car with low miles. The above is not financial advice, just something i would do. 😉
  9. She passed the MOT ok trev?
  10. history and good old gut feeling. Condition and loads of history with money no object kind of ownership. What i do with cars with expensive parts is i build up a car slush fund, over time you can dip in to the slush fund to maintain it. Build up the car slush fund to a level that if anything bad happens u can cover a big chunk of it. Like a personal warranty where the money is in your bank and not a warranty / dealers bank account.
  11. used to be really busy until we got bullied by the big boys as we were stepping on their toes. Little man vs goliath 🙂
