Rear Diff

Featured Replies

Can any one advise me where I can find a complete exploded view of an X5 E70 30D 11/2010 rear diff all I can find is just the casing, & maybe some one could point me in the right direction with the possible cause of my problem, when I turn right I get a terrible clunking sound & you can physically see the rear wheels shudder I originally thought it was brakes or cv joints, changed them all to no avail, straight line even up to speed not a problem but when turning right more so horrid.

Thanks in advance

Hi Jeffrey

Welcome to the Forum

BMW do not release them all the Dealer does is change the complete diff then retain the old one so there is little on the market. Having said that I did get a rebuild kit for my E53 4.6is from Bimmertune they were also helpful with pre-load settings and torques may be do a search see if they are still around

Check www.realoem.com to make sure you get the correct kit my E70 rear diff has two different fluids

Hope this is some help

Dave
