Will a BMW X1 F48 Front seats fit directly into a BMW X2 F39?

Hi

BMW has now stopped offering the SE version across the X range, I would like to purchase a X2 which now only comes in Sport or M Sport with the extended thigh support. My wife who is only 5' finds both these cars uncomfortable to sit in. Does anyone know if a SE seat from a F48 X1 will fit directly into a X2 (both these cars are built on the same UKL2 platform)? Alternatively would a F48 SE seat squab fit onto a F39 M Sport seat frame? Many thanks

Hi Vic

Welcome to the Forum

Check www.realoem.com search the seat section double click the part number and it should bring up a list of alternates and other models they were used in. You will also find exploded drawings of the seats and their components

Hope this helps

Hi Dave

Many thanks for your help.

The suggested website does not give the seat frame details. I have checked with my local Sytner dealer who says the frames have different numbers to accommodate the different seat squabs. They suggested I physically measure the X1 seat fixing holes I want to fit into the X2 and the holes in the X2 chassis. This means investing in a couple of X1 seats, which could result in wasting money.
