118i M Sport F40 front grille?

Recently got a 20 reg 1 series 118i M Sport and love the look... except the chrome grille (looks like a comedy clown nose) and imho, spoils an otherwise lovely looking car.

I saw some other higher end models have the black grille which looks much better. Is this an easy job to fit? or does it require a professional to do it.

Going to also change the stock 18" wheels for 19's too.

Thank you for any info. :)

Hi Sam

Welcome to the Forum

Try looking at www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box then check out the relevant sections if the black trims are available, you should have no problem finding them.

If they aren't there, then I would try a Body Shop or the aftermarket suppliers. Wheels same thing get the style and part number then I would check the Specialist dismantlers

Good Luck

Dave

I just purchased my first BMW Series 1 and love the Chrome Grille, I think its gorgeous.

But great referral information in the reply and I will definitely be checking out the link, because for some reason I only have one exhaust pipe...

Thank you both for replies 🙂

I think it depends on the colour. The White and Blue ones look better with the black grille in my opinion. I saw one the other day with a black grille with the 3 colour M stripes applied. With 19" black wheels it looked stunning. The exhaust is the only minus point.
