1 Series Cam belt or chain

This may be a silly question, but asking anyway!!

Does the BMW 114D SE have a cam belt or chain? Registration year 2013

Hi Tim....welcome to the Club

If it is the 1.6 engine then it has a chain fitted

Looking at www.realoem.com you have 3 chains 1 lower and 2 upper. Have a look put the last 7 digits of your Vin in the search box and it will bring up your model. If you are going to DIY then www.newtis.info may be a help
