Parking Brake Light

Recommended Posts

The parking brake light / front indicator bulb/ side light.

The indicator works but the parking light doesn't. Have checked bulb and connection. Is there a fuse if so where is it located please. Main fuse bos only shows one fuse for lghting

Rear light housing on the X5 is a known problem they suffer with corrosion problems I would take out the lamp unit and make sure all is clean and dry. It may take a bit of fine emery cloth to clean it all up then retry (don't bolt it all in place) if its working take out the lamps and protect the surfaces with a smear of vaseline then put it all back together.

i had a problem with the o/s rear fog light on my E70 X5,over time the previous owner had been slamming the tail gate shut and the fog light housing where the metal was held on by a plastic pip had worn down.I fixed it with a soldering iron,using heat to spread the plastic pip to hold the metal in place

i dont know if this is any help but maybe it might be worth looking at
