A Clean

Recommended Posts

Hello all

I haven't been on this site long, but thought i'd post up a few pictures of my car.

I picked her up at 11am today (18.01.14) and below are the images.

I'll give an outline of what I did to clean her, as I always feel better after spending time doing it.

(She is a W reg, but what a quality finish)

1. Rinsed using hose with clean water

2. Wash using Auto- Glym two bucket method (one soapy, one fresh) after used soapy on car, rinse off in fresh

3.Clay barred (Removes ground in dirt) Was literally black when finished

4. Washed again using two bucket system

5. Dried using microfibre clothes

6. Polished using auto-glym

7. Removed polish

8. Dodo juice (purple haze) wax.

9. Removed wax

10. Done.

Let me know what you think :)

hay sam

good job pal tooks great :)

i use zymol (glasur glaze) with 56% carnauba wax. awsome wax a little on the expensive side around £99 for 226g. iv had a tub for 2years now

and i use it evry month on my old car and my m3 so not that expensive .remember you only need a little wax work it well and the results are spectacular.as you have shown us

i dont like clay bars i use zemol (HD-cleanse) i find it a little less savage, at around £25 i must say i do tend to use alot of it!!!!

i would never use auto glym, as my friend is a professional auto detailer and he always said, its just cheep !Removed! not worth the plastic its bottled in!?!

keep up the good work ;)

I went into further details on my other thread.

Dodo juice is very highly recommended by everyone, its only £32 a tub, I'm 1/3 though and I got it over a year ago. Soft wax is the best though.

Clay bar is like rubbing your car with bluetack, Polish is slightly abrasive and takes off the smallest amount of top coat. You only need to claybar quarterly, not every wash as it deeps cleans it.

I used autoglym in this and the other thread because I wasn't going to recommend cheap turtle wax or terrible T-cut.

I will use other products once I have used my stores up :)

Thanks for the nod
